"When the Mayor, in a panic, asks for the aid of the kids to help him bake a cake for Bessie's birthday, things seem to go right until the cake turns up missing. All evidence - as acquired by the detective Sherlock Foams (Robbie in disguise) - points to Sportacus! He is tried and placed in Lazy Jail, while Ziggy and the gang must solve the riddle of the swiped sweets."
Book adaptation
In 2006, Simon Spotlight and Nick Jr. released a book based on the episode titled Who Took the Cake?. It was adapted by Zoey Zucker and is the second book in the LazyTown Ready-to-Read series.
Quotes
Robbie: There's no cake in here. I ate it all yesterday.
Sportacus: (Trying to stop the food fight and gets hit with icing) Stop! Food's for growing, not for throwing!
Pixel: (singing "Cooking by the Book") Making food is just like science / With tools that blend and baste / Every fun appliance gives the food a different taste.
Stephanie: (singing "Cooking by the Book") It's a piece of cake to bake a pretty cake / If the way is hazy / You gotta do the cooking by the book / You know you can be lazy / Never use a messy recipe / The cake will end up crazy.
Robbie: Swiped cake tastes better. Everybody knows that. And I know how to get rid of that meddling Sportacus too. It's disguise time.
Stephanie: That looks like Robbie Rotten.
Ziggy, Pixel and Stingy: It IS Robbie Rotten!
Stephanie, Ziggy, Pixel and Stingy: ROBBIE ROTTEN!
LazyTown does not have an actual jail. Sportacus ends up in a small metal-construct cage in the center of the town. It's not very sturdily built and easy to escape from.
The name and looks of Robbie's disguise is an homage to Sherlock Holmes.
Robbie dismisses his normal clothes as "Too scary".
Bessie has "Bing Bang" as her ringtone.
Trixie only appears in one scene when she sees what Stingy is up to in his car and appearing at the end when Stephanie is singing "Bing Bang," making her a minor character.
Robbie dismisses a Santa disguise as "too merry" in this episode. He would later don that disguise in "LazyTown's Surprise Santa.".
A clip from this episode is used in the online game, "Pixelspix".
This also marks the first time that Robbie Rotten's disguise gets revealed.
