Premise

"Robbie disguises himself as Sportacus in order to make the kids do lazy, unhealthy things: They feel like they have to listen to him. Stephanie suspects something, but won't speak up to be heard. Meanwhile, the Mayor is helping Bessie out in the yard. Someone has to take the first step and be heard, but will it be on time?"

Trivia

  • Moral: When something seems wrong, speak up and don’t stay silent out of bullying or peer pressure.
  • LazyTown's residents are apparently unable to distinguish between the real and fake Sportacus, despite some seemingly obvious physical differences:
    • When Robbie Rotten is disguised as Sportacus, he has a number '0' written on the back of his disguise instead of a number '10'.
    • The band holding Robbie's goggles on is a darker blue than that of his hat; Sportacus' is lighter.
    • Sportacus wears his hat with the black and white stripe over one eye; Robbie's hat is off to one side.
    • Robbie is nearly 20 cm taller than the real Sportacus.
    • While Sportacus' ears are mostly hidden under his hat, Robbie's stick out from underneath his.
  • While naming different objects through town his own, Stingy refers to a ladder as "his father's". This is the first and only time anything is ever stated about the puppets having parents.
  • Sportacus is busy flying the airship. He uses various levers and wheels to make adjustments to his flight. In one shot we see him adjusting the fore and aft setting of the wing stabilizers. But then a moment later he uses another wheel to extend the wing stabilizers which were already extended in the previous shot.
  • Pixel uses his computer to determine that [the fake] Sportacus is joking when he tells them to eat Bubble Gum. Robbie replies “Bingo Bongo, you are Wrongo!”; A phrase later popularized by the cartoon Steven Universe.
  • The interesting thing about the song for this episode is that it is sung from two different locations. Sportacus in the airship and Stephanie on the ground.
  • When Stephanie is back in the Mayor’s House, in his kitchen she asks if she can speak with him. As she does this she glances down again (as if she was looking at the puppeteers). She did this in a previous episode as well.
  • The scene where Sportacus and Robbie Rotten (dressed as the fake Sportacus) square off is a play on the famous Scene from the movie Spartacus with Kirk Douglas where he is being sought by the Romans and many of the other slaves stand up and claim “I’m Spartacus!” it could be also a reference to “I’m Buzz Lightyear” scene from the 1999 Disney/Pixar Film Toy Story 2 where Buzz Lightyear and Utitly Belt Buzz fight over who is the real Buzz.
  • Bessie goes to give Milford a kiss, but is interrupted when Stephanie starts the Bing Bang Song (this scene is omitted from some broadcasts of the episode).
  • This is the only episode where Stephanie showed aggression against Robbie Rotten when she defended Sportacus and protested the results of the competition by pushing him away and ripping off his mustache.
  • This is also one of only two episodes in which Stephanie exposes Robbie, even in disguise (she may have already known but was afraid to tell). Otherwise, his disguise disappears after an accident.
  • Two clips from this episode are used in the online game, "Pixelspix".
  • This is the first episode where a character's name is in the title, albeit, half of a character's name.
  • On September 19, 2009, this episode was the last program to ever air on Jetix in Hungary before it was rebranded as Disney Channel.
  • When Robbie leaned in towards Stephanie, she recognizes him by the eyebrows.

Quotes

  • Robbie: I'm number one! I can't believe it! I am Sportacus!
  • Milford: You can never have too many Sportacuses.
  • Robbie: What is wrong with them? (moans) They never listen to me. They only listen to that blue-suited blowhard. It's the mustache, I bet.
  • Robbie: I was king of doing nothing. Now look at me --- all alone, forgotten. Completely not listened to. (Robbie pulls a chain to reveal a machine with a knob representing a series of applauding and cheering background crowd members in speakers. The crowd in the machine claps for Robbie, who lets out a calm "Thank you". He cranks up the knob a little. When he does it for the last time, the crowd goes wild, like in a sports stadium. Robbie lets out the last and loudest "Thank you" and begins to blow a kiss, causing the scene to end.)
  • Robbie: No! No! Stay inside! It's a lovely day to be lazy. What's wrong with that little girl? Can't she read? The sign says "no playing." (the top of the mayor's hammer knocks it down.) Rats! Kids these days, they just don't listen.
  • Bessie: Oh, Milford. Thank you so much for helping me fix a few little odds and ends around my yard.
  • Milford: Yes, but I don't know my hammer from my screwdriver, Miss Busybody.
  • Bessie: Oh my big, strong man. It's only a couple of teeny-weeny things.
  • Robbie: The Pose! The Finger! and The Move!
  • Stephanie: I know how we can find out which one is the real Sportacus. Sportacus always has all these neat moves! (Real Sportacus does split)
  • Robbie: Ok, stand back! (just stands there.) See, I did it so fast you didn't see it! You must have blinked.
  • Stingy: This is mine, and this is mine..(comes across ladder) this isn't mine...but it could be my father's!
  • Sportacus: I'm Sportacus.
  • Robbie: (dressed as Sportacus)No, I am Sportacus.
  • Sportacus: No, I'm Sportacus.
  • Robbie: Me, too.
  • Robbie: Now, listen to me, little girl. I won. End of story. Time to go. Bye bye! Adios! Ciao!
  • Stephanie: No, it's time for you to GO!
  • Trixie: Yeah!
  • Stephanie: Robbie...
  • Everybody: Robbie Rotten!!!
