Below is a list of characters who only appeared in the original Icelandic plays from before LazyTown became a television show. Referenced characters The following characters appeared in the plays and are referenced somehow in the TV show, meaning that they still exist in the current LazyTown universe and were not scrapped completely. Jives The Rooster Scrapped characters Penny Pestella Main Article: Penny Pestella Known as Eyrún Eyðslukló in Icelandic, Penny is a money-wasting beggar. She only appeared in Áfram Latibær!, the first play. She was played by Pálína Jónsdóttir. Officer Obtuse Main Article: Officer Obtuse Officer Obtuse is LazyTown's bumbling policeman. Who is, surprisingly enough, more of a pushover then he is a crimefighter. Postman Main article: Pósturinn The Postman is an unnamed mail deliveryperson. He was featured as a character in the book "Latibær í vandræðum". He appeared in both plays. He was played by Ari Matthiasson in Áfram Latibær! and Ólafur Darri Ólafsson in Glanni Glæpur í Latabæ. A puppet in his likeness was constructed by Wit Puppets. MayhemTown Gang The MayhemTown Gang, also sometimes translated as "PartyTown Gang" (in Icelandic, Glaumbæjargengið) were a group of 3 criminals hired by Robbie Rotten in Glanni Glæpur í Latabæ. They all wear trench coats, colorful beanies, and masks to cover their faces. BigTown Thieves The BigTown Thieves were minor characters in Áfram Latibær!. They are two brown-haired boys that try to steal the trophy from the sports competition, then go on to compete to try to win it. They were played by Þórhallur Ágústsson and Guðmundur Andrés Erlingsson.
