Description Mayor Meanswell is a passionate advocate of LazyTown, loving everything about it. He loves that it's the laziest place on Earth. He loves that the town has its very own health hero who is the sworn enemy of laziness. And he loves that the hero has a nemesis! How can one man be in favor of all these contradictory things? Well, he is a politician, after all. The Mayor often doubles as the town librarian, postmaster, banker, shopkeeper and any other role for which he's needed. Frantically overwhelmed by his various duties, he figures if HE doesn’t do it, who else in LazyTown will? He has a "secret" passion for Bessie, but his efforts are always futile and met with semi-disastrous results He can make mistakes, but the kids look up to and respect him in a kindly Uncle way – after all he is their only mayor. — LazyTown.com Looks Milford has tan skin, brown eyes, and thinning gray hair. He usually wears a light orange business suit over a plaid sweater-vest and a white shirt with a collar and a tie. He also sports brown shoes and socks with red stripes. Personality Milford is jolly, yet a bit dimwitted. He tries his very best to do his elected duty though sometimes he isn't the best at it, but he still cares alot about everyone, especially his niece Stephanie. Appearances Milford appears in many episodes of LazyTown. His debut was in "Welcome to LazyTown" and his final appearance was in the second-to-last episode, "Robbie's Dream Team". Footage of him and Bessie dancing during the final episode was recorded and they originally had a large role in the episode, but this ended up being cut. Baejarstjorinn is simply the Icelandic word for mayor. David Matthew Feldman has stated that the Mayor may be Stephanie's uncle on her mother's side. He has a slight lisp According to LazyTown's Greatest Hits, his favorite song is Teamwork. Before the TV series, Milford was not related to Stephanie. Mayor Meanswell had no name before the show, simply being referred to as The Mayor (Bæjarstjórinn). In the books written before the plays, he’s the protagonist while The Sports Elf (Íþróttaálfurinn) is not, being the one who wants more activity in his town. This continued into the play of Áfram Latibær. Most of the more comedic elements of the character were added to the TV show, possibly combined the comedic aspects of Lolli Lögga with the mayor’s character. In "LazyTown Goes Digital", Mayor Meanswell mentions that he loves toast. He's afraid of bees. Magnus Olafsson, who played Milford in both stage plays, also voiced him in the Icelandic dub.
