"LazyTown's New Superhero" is a double-length episode in the first season of LazyTown.

Characters

Premise

"Stephanie and the LazyTown children decide to repay Sportacus for his heroics by giving him a day off, with Stephanie taking over as hero. Meanwhile, the supervillain Robbie Rotten is on the prowl again and decides to take advantage and builds a nasty dog which runs amok in LazyTown."

Epilogue

Sportacus is exercising, then he realizes it's 8:08PM, which is his bedtime. He activates the bed and gets in it to sleep. Day becomes night in Sportacus' airship. Robbie Rotten is still stuck in the dog house.

  • The DVD of this episode was immediately made available in stores the very next day (Aug. 16 2005). The show's soundtrack album was also available on Aug. 16.
  • This episode, as well as "Defeeted", have extended versions of Bing Bang.
  • A one hour primetime special premiered at 8pm/7c on Nickelodeon, making it the show's first ever primetime showing.
    • This episode was the highest-rated episode of LazyTown ever aired, earning over 3 million viewers upon its primetime premiere on Nickelodeon.[1]
  • Pixel and Bessie Busybody are absent and don't appear in this double-length episode.
  • If you divide the episode in two parts, part 1 is the first episode where Stephanie doesn't sing Bing Bang at the end.
    • This is the second time she sings the longer version of Bing Bang which has a second chorus for this episode. The first was Defeeted.
