Quotes

  • Robbie: (singing "It's Nice to Be the Mayor") I make new rules and they obey / They must do whatever I say...
  • Robbie: He's gone. Nobody's moving. The kids are eating candy. I'm a genius.
  • Robbie-Mayor: And-and-and you will now understand my next rule which is is you will have to leave LazyTown forever. (echoes)
  • Sportacus: What?!
  • Sportacus: Are you okay?
  • Robbie-Mayor: Oh, why, yes, I'm fine, yes.
  • Sportacus: But my crystal beeped.
  • Robbie-Mayor: Oh, what? Well, obviously it's out of order. Why don't you just throw it away?
  • Robbie: (singing "It's Fun to Be the Mayor") It's great to be me / It's awesome to be the Mayor (Ho Ho Ho. NO MORE SPORTS!) / You can see why, oh my / It's fun to be the Mayor
  • Robbie: This place needs an elevator. It's disguise time. Oh, the mayor outfit. Yes.
  • Robbie: Now all I have to do is make sure the Mayor won't be back (echoes), then I'll disguise myself as him and make my own rules for LazyTown. (chuckles meanly)
  • Stephanie and the Kids: Robbie Rotten!?!?!!!
  • Robbie: If you SAY so!
  • Bessie: Well, who'd have thought?!
  • Milford: Not me.

Trivia

  • There were several problems associated with the original broadcast of this episode on Nick Jr. The broadcast started approximately one minute early. Rather than the pre-created captioning that is normally used with the program, this broadcast was "live-captioned," meaning that it appeared that somebody was typing the captions as the program was being aired, much like a sports broadcast, or a reality television program with a need for secrecy, such as Survivor. The close-captioner was obviously not a regular viewer of the program, as the captions contained many errors, including Robbie's name being captioned as "Johnny Rotten" and Sportacus's name being misspelled as "Sporticus." Only a small portion of the "Bing Bang" song was captioned. Additionally, a promo was shown during the closing credits, something which had not been done for any of the previous broadcasts during the week. However, the promo was simply displayed over the closing credits, taking up about two-thirds of the screen, rather than the credits being shunted into a box on the left side like they normally would be. [citation needed]
  • Mayor Meanswell's bunny suit costume that he wears to catch butterflies is a reference to the second Latibaer play, Glanni Glæpur í Latabæ, when the Mayor disguises himself in the same way. He also wears the same bunny outfit in a later episode of LazyTown Extra.
  • This episode was flimed on 26th to 31st March 2006.
  • The episode plot is similar to Sportafake, except for the fact about Robbie Rotten disguising as the Mayor, instead of Sportacus.
  • Nearly all of the dancing was improvised by Stefan Karl.
  • During certain parts of the video, Stefan Karl can be seen trying to hold in his laughter.
